Large Aestrel fire bowl in earthly brown, comes with a steel stand.
Firing
Clay fire bowls have a great burning function. This model’s main purpose is for BBQ’s however it can also be used as a radiator when being used on chilly evenings. The fire pit burns wood efficiently and as a result it leaves hardly any ash.
When first starting to use the fire pit, have a small fire. This strengthens the clay because it becomes used to the heat. When fired the clay absorbs the heat and retains it. Thus acting as a radiator, when a big fire is used when first starting off there is a bigger likelihood of cracking appearing on the clay. This means do not have a roaring fire!
Pattern
The design of the Large Aestrel fire bowl: Celtic swirls going around the bowl along the middle.
Assembly
There is no assembly for these products, simply place the fire bowl onto the stand.
Weathering
We recommend that firepits are covered when not in use to protect from the weather. Covering is not as necessary when it rains although it becomes harder to get a fire going when the clay is damp/ wet. It is necessary to cover firepits during winter as when the clay becomes too cold i.e covered in frost/ snow the clay can to begin to crack. Cracks can expand once exposed to water getting in and freezing causing severe instability in the structure of the chimenea.
Instructions
All firepits come with instructions on how to use it and what to use in order to fire it, as not all lighting fuels are compatible with firepits.
